Let's be honest, by this day, we were pretty much "ruined" out and we weren't really looking forward to this tour. We thought that once you see one ruin, the others would all be similar. But Uxmal ended up being our favorite one (even over Chichén Itzá), mainly because we (mainly Eric) finally got to climb REALLY high.
The tallest pyramid is called the Magicians Pyramid. It is also known as the Pyramid of the Dwarf, both names come from a legend about a magical dwarf who was hatched from an egg, grew into adulthood in a single day, and built this pyramid in one night. But let's be realistic... they actually begun building it in the 6th century AD and expanded it through the 10th century. This pyramid is unique among Mayan structures because of its rounded sides. It was pretty spectacular!

Our tour guide told us that a few years ago he would do his morning jog up and down these various pyramids, but now you can only walk on a few of them. Walking up, we realized why... it is really quite dangerous. The steps are only a few inches wide, the height could be terrifying for some people, and if there ever was a breeze.... bye bye.

Later that night we went to a night show at the ruins. Luckily my headset worked this time and I could understand what they were saying. Eric loved listening in Spanish. After we were finished with the show he said, "I heard that story in my Spanish class at ISU but NOW it makes sense."
After the light show we went to our last group dinner together. We loved our little tour group and we were glad they were cool to hang out with. We even invited our driver and tour guide to eat with us. One of Eric's favorite things to do in Mexico was talking to these guys in Spanish and brushing up on his language skills.
I forgot to mention we had a hammock on our porch, at our hotel. We would take naps in it. It was divine!!!
