Niagara Falls Of The West

Some people call Shoshone Falls the Niagara Falls of the west. Shoshone Falls is among the most spectacular of natural beauties along the Snake River. At 212 feet, the falls are higher than Niagara Falls. They are best viewed during the spring and early summer, when water flows are high- depending on winter snow melt.

The last time Eric and I went to Shoshone Falls we took some friends who weren't from the area. We talked about how spectacular the falls were but when we arrived there was only a small trickle going over the falls. We were plesantly surprised, yesterday, when we saw LARGE amounts of water going over the falls.
