As piano students, Eric and I learned mnemonic devices to help us remember the notes on the lines and spaces on each clef. The phrases we learned for the treble clef are: "Every Good Boy Does Fine" (on the LINES) and "F A C E" (in the SPACES).
While at a primary activity yesterday, one of the girls in our class was telling us that she knows how to read music. When asked if she knows all of the notes, she said, "The spaces spell face and the lines say the phrase Elvis' Guitar Broke Down Friday." We thought this mnemonic was very fitting for the South.

That is pretty good--hey whatever works right?
That's so funny! Do they play Elvis' songs on the piano?
I thought that was so funny when she said that. That was not the answer I was expecting.
