My parents and sister came to visit us from Idaho. They arrived late on Tuesday and we have had a great time!

Kinsley loves her Aunt Kristi and considers her wheelchair her new favorite toy.

Kinsley loves her Grandma and Grandpa... except when Grandpa stuffs sweet potatoes up her nose... then again, if he did that to me I wouldn't like him either.

Eric gave my parents and sister a tour of his school. He showed them where he works, introduced them to one of his professors, showed them a lab, and gave my dad an eye exam (Eric says he is an exophoric presbyope--which means he's wall-eyed and OLD).
We spent an evening walking down Beale Street, listening to music and browsing shops. Beale Street has been playing the blues for more than half a century. Its heyday was in the 1920's, when the area took on a carnival atmosphere and gambling, drinking, prostitution, murder, and voodoo thrived alongside the booming nightclubs, theaters, restaurants, stores, pawnshops, and hot music. Good or bad... Beale Street has created some memories.

One day we went to the Peabody Hotel- which is famous for its ducks. Every day at 11:00 am the Duck Master rolls out a red carpet and 5 ducks ride down the elevator, walk the red carpet, and then they spend the afternoon in the hotel fountain. Then at 5:00 pm they do it again in the reverse order and then they spend the night in their home on the eleventh floor. Kinsley was pretty fascinated by the ducks.
Unfortunately my parents brought winter weather with them. Last week the weather was in the 60's and 70's (hence my dad wearing shorts) but last night we had a "blizzard" (in Idaho we call it a snow flurry) and this morning, as we were getting ready for church, we found out that, due to the inclement weather, church was
canceled! My dad was pretty disgusted because there was hardly any snow on the ground. We ended up sitting in our living room and having a Sunday School lesson.

Having family come visit is so fun! Tell them I don't appreciate that they brought the idaho snow though :) heehee

Kinsley is a great age for the ducks!
Wow Kiley---Kinsley looks so big pulled up to Kristi's wheelchair -- isn't it sad how quickly they grow up! Looks like you had a great time with your family visiting and I am sure Kristi just loves all of her new nieces! Take care---
