Celebrating Cinco De Mayo

We celebrated Eric taking his last final EVER with some delicious fajitas during Cinco De Mayo. Kinsley was super excited to help her dad cook dinner. Maybe a little too excited... because seconds after I took this picture, Kinsley dumped the ENTIRE, newly purchased bottle of olive oil in this pan. Awesome. It is a sad day when your two year old daughter knows more Spanish that you do.

One day, while driving in the car Kinsley says to me...
Kinsley: Mom, cena means dinner.
Me: No Kinsley, comer means dinner.
Eric: Actually, Kinsley is correct. Comer means "to eat".

Another day while leaveing the zoo...
Eric says to Kinsley: Pregunta a mamá si ella quiere compartir su helado contigo. (Ask mom if she wants to share her ice cream with you)
Kinsley says to me super sweetly: Excuse me mother, will you please share your ice cream with me?
The only word I understood was "mama"!

It is always humbling when you find out your kids are smarter than you. Tell Eric congrats on the last final :)

I'm impressed with her command of Spanish. That will be such a blessing as she gets older.
Looks like good food, too!
