Saturday morning, Kinsley made a 4th of July necklace. She had a great time following the pattern and stringing the beads. Kinsley is constantly making me laugh. While making her necklace she would tell me what bead she needed to string on the necklace. Instead of saying "star" (for the star shaped bead) she would call it the "twinkle twinkle little star bead." I just love her!
Saturday evening we met up with some other couples, from Eric's school, and went to the Redbirds game. On the way to the game we were in a car accident. (One week ago we commented to each other how surprised we were that we hadn't been in a car wreck while living here because of all of the crazy drivers... I guess we should have "knocked on wood"). A merging white car decided not to yield and swerved into oncoming traffic, nearly hitting a blue car. The blue car tried to avoid getting hit by the white one and swerved into our lane- nearly hitting us. We tried to avoid getting hit by the blue car by swerving into the next lane but a silver car didn't notice all of the swerving, therefore, did not swerve. So, we hit him. Either way we would have been involved in an accident. The other two cars sped away, leaving the wrecked cars behind. No one was hurt. No one was issued a ticket (thank goodness because our tags have expired). But we can no longer say, "We have been accident-free in the 'dirty south.'"

Eric "helped" Kinsley find her shoes before the game... they don't match. I didn't notice until we were at the game. Eric said, "No one will notice." But the first 5 year old we ran into said, "Kinsley your shoes don't match!"
A lady sitting behind us at the game commented on how funny it was that we all had small children (there were 14 kids and 6 babies), all went to the same school, and all went to the same church. She said, "It almost sounds like you guys belong to a cult." Eric laughed and gave her a pass-a-long card, then talked to her about the LDS church and families. I love how he is always missionary minded.

What a fun thing. We never did make it to a Red Birds game. I bet Rhylan would have loved those fireworks:) Cute pics.
I love it! Hailey had the exact same reaction to the fireworks show when she was a little girl. :)
Yeah, Jaycee loved watching the fireworks and Morgan hid under the blanket the whole time saying it hurts my eyes and it's too loud. That's a great pic of her sobbing.
