On a Thursday, Eric tried to call his grandpa but, like usual, only got the voicemail. The next morning, Grandpa Pierce passed. Eric drove with his family to the funeral in Rocklin, CA and left Kiley alone in Idaho -- she continues to call him and the Doc. (who said she shouldn't be traveling more than an hour away from Pocatello this late in the pregnancy) "fun-crushers!" Although the drive was LOOOOOONG (especially with Jenny's baby--Russellito--that had to be fed and changed every 2-3 hours), Eric did enjoy seeing some family members he doesn't see very frequently and an aunt that he met for the first time!
Despite the Doc's admonition to stay close to Poky, Kiley decided to join her family at Melcher for some 4-wheeling. She enjoyed time with her family but didn't enjoy the 4-wheel ride in the rain and hail.
